How to upload your files using FileZilla FTP client tool

FileZilla is a free File Transfer Protocol (FTP) software for Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.
 

The free FTP software can be download from FileZilla Website.

After download and install the FileZilla, please double click the icon to launch the program.

Click File menu and click the Site Manager from the list .
Click the New Site button.
Enter the setup information for your FTP account.

  • Type in the New FTP Site Name: (You can type any name like "my-domain-name.com")
  • Host: Enter your Domain Name. e.g. example.com or server IP
  • Port: 21
  • Protocol: FTP - File Transfer Protocol
  • Encryption: Use plain FTP
  • Logon type: Normal
  • User: This is your username. e.g. examplec (cpanel Username) or ftp@example.com (See the Notes: below). If you do not have this information, Please create a support ticket we will help to solve the issues.
  • Password: This is your cPanel password or the password specified when the FTP account was created.

Click the OK button.

When the above steps are complete, click 'Connect' to connect to the server. (You will automatically be connected in your own folder or public_html).


Firewall based settings (Optional)
----------------------------------------
If you are behind a firewall, then some people experience problems with FTP. To fix this problem, please follow the steps:
    Click Edit menu
    Select Settings
    Click Passive Mode, which is found underneath Connection in the left hand window.
    In the Passive mode settings window (right side),
    click the "Use the server's external IP address instead" if it is currently not marked. Then Click Ok
If you connect to our server and get disconnected quickly, this is the solution.


Notes:
--------

  • If connecting via an FTP account (Created in cPanel account), make sure to use the full FTP username (ex:ftpuser@example.com).
  • In FileZilla software, you can add and save multiple connections using the Site Manager in File > Site Manager
